We are able to arrange collection of larger items for repair such as garden tractors and petrol mowers, we offer a FREE collection service with machinery taken in for a full service.

What We Can Repair

Our modern workshop facilities are able to handle everything from a small walk-behind mower to the largest sit-on mowers and other commercial grade machinery.

We can also repair any other item of garden machinery including chainsaws, hedge trimmers, brush cutters, garden blowers & leaf vacuums, cultivators & tillers and chipper-shredders.

Lawn Mower Sharpening

Our modern workshop facilities include full grinding equipment enabling us to sharpen cylinder blades for both domestic and professional grass cutting equipment.

We can also sharpen other types of powered garden tools such as shredders, hedge trimmers and chainsaws.

Here at John Hurrell & Sons we are able to offer a first class guaranteed service on all types and makes of Lawn Mowers, Garden Tractors and Garden Equipment.

We believe regular servicing of your garden machinery is essential to the safety of the user – whilst it is also proven to increase the lifespan of your equipment.

All servicing is carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s service advice and we only use genuine spare parts.

If we find any unexpected problems with any machinery we are working on we will call with a revised total cost before carrying out work.

Our Service Schedule Includes

  • Removal of engine inspection covers and steam clean.
  • Clean/change air filter depending on type
  • A change of oil
  • Clean or change spark plug, fuel filter and oil filter where fitted
  • Sharpen or replace the blade/s where necessary
  • Set up cylinder where required
  • Clean drive chains and check .
  • Check belt(s), bearings and other drive components for wear
  • Start, run and test machine
